UNT Health’s Angels
UNT Health Patient Services supported and sponsored the inaugural ride of UNT Health’s Angels at the MS 150 event May 5-6, 2012, led by Darrin D'Agostino, DO and Dave Baker. We had team members from all aspects of the University, including OMM honor students and our newest Physical Therapist, Charlie Nichols, DPT helping evaluate riders and even MS patients. We even had “outsiders” who learned about us and were impressed with the level of organization and success of this venture.
We gave away promo items, literature and cards and we expect that we will see the benefits of this in our clinics. One rider, on the largest team in the event, told me personally that he will be looking us up and loved the OMM treatment!
We ended the ride 12 out of 122 for team donations, have 2 of our team mates in the top 100 of all fundraisers (over 3000 riders!) and had the coolest Jersey!! We are already working on next year’s tent theme and training ride schedules and plan to keep growing each year we ride.
